Accounting Major

As everyone has been lately asking me details on accounting major and australia i would like to start by answering some one's comment on accounting major. What i meant in my post about Bachelors with accounting major here was as it open door to a job in demand and if you have done it from australia, under the present rules you do rack up the points to get permanent residency.

Following is the point system in effect 2nd April'2005

Major in Accounting - 60 points

Profficency in English (Proof in form of IELTS Test) - 30 points

Age 18-29 - 20 points

Major completed in Australia with 2 years continous study onshore - 5 points

Job in Demand which accounting is - 15 points

De-facto or Spouse if elegible - 15 points

This will help you benchmark yourself for PR conditions and point system in Australia

120 is pass mark and generally if you have that and rest is alrite you will get if within 6-9 months if applied on shore.
